The Petersburg Humane Association
has a temporary shelter for cats, but none for dogs at this time. We do,
however, foster strays and other animals who have nowhere else to go,
as we work to build a permanent shelter for both dogs and cats. All
these animals need homes. Click on the heading to see photos
and further descriptions of the animals listed. If you are interested
in adopting any of the animals shown on these pages, please contact us
at 518-1091 and leave a voice message. We'll call you back. Some animals
are turned in as strays that may, in fact, be somebody's beloved pet.
So if you're missing an animal, check here to see if one of these is yours.
As a service, we will also post missing animals to help their guardians
locate them.
If you are interested in adopting one of the animals listed
here, you can expedite the process by downloading and filling out an application
for adoption. Return it to PHA by mail (Box 1417, Petersburg,
AK 99833) or drop it off to any board member. You can also fill out your
portion of the adoption agreement
to have ready when you meet with a board member to pick up your pet. All
of our adoptees have been spayed or neutered if they are old enough. If
they are too young, the adopter will have to agree to fix them as soon
as they are old enough.

Torch - a 13-year-old short-haired
tortoiseshell female has been adopted!
